Winners have been picked for the giveaway. Todd was so nice as to give all who entered by the deadline a copy of his book. Thanks all who entered...I sent an email to you for your info. Please email me (info on the header) if you don't get that email. Rommel I could not find your email...please let me know your contact info. A bit ago I found Todd Lieman in Twitterland and he sent me a copy of his book ABC's for Expectant Dads: The Ultimate A- for Dads-in-Training. I'd looked at a bunch of expectant dad books and I thought most were terrible. I did pick up The Expectant Father and I liked it but I haven't looked at it in months. I think it's tough for dad's because we're just reading about what's going on with the mothers and it's easier to hear it from them. Staci is reading so much that she keeps me up to date on things I should know and I'm sure most expectant moms are the same. I'm also luckily in that doing this blog has connected
started as a pre-daddy blog and morphed into a daddy blog
That's completely cute!
ReplyDeleteAwe, how cute!
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you - I have been so interested in your posts on floor beds!! It seems like such a great way to give them freedom to roam around & learn to crawl or just MOVE if they want to! I have been showing my husband all your stuff about it & I really think we want to do it with our next child! I love the pictures!! Miloh so cute!!

ReplyDeleteThanks all. If you want to try it in your house this is a good book about it Montessori from the Start
ReplyDeleteIt is tough because he started rolling soon and he rolls off the bed often.
He's so cute!!! Max does the same thing now and I feel so 'ga ga' every time he does that (by the way, ga ga is a French expression my mother in law uses that I adore because it really describes my face when little Max does something cute ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove this picture!!!
Un abrazo,

You young parents are so excited about how fast you can get your child to be independent. My children when they woke up (in their cribs) they just picked up their "safe" toys and played with them. The giggled and oogled and spoke to them, but at least they were safe in their cribs, when I would go in to check on them, that's the way I found them and either I could pick them up and play with them or leave them until they had had enough. What happens when the baby is a little bigger and he's already bored with discovering everything their is "inside" his room. He ventures out into the kitchen? Heaven forbid their may be a stray roach or worse something falls on his head. And then the baby is a teenager and he is used to all this "independence", he wants to go out in the middle of the night, cause he's just bored;only satisying his curiosity, what is he or she going to find? What can you tell him or her? You don't go out in the middle of the night? Where are the boundaries? If the "baby" has been doing for himself for so long, don't say, we didn't see that coming.
ReplyDeleteIt is all cute when they are small, but they don't stay small and they grow up faster than you will ever believe, just remember the boundaries; there MUST be bounderies.
