Week two in numbers

Here are week two's numbers...as a reminder they start on a Friday and go until Thursday and these are only for this week. Numbers are tallied and verified by an independent conslting firm.

Heads up that my next post will be my hundredth post. It will be a huge posting event with many celebrities, reality TV stars, musicians and such* so it might take a couple days for it to go live.

*There is no gaurantee that celebrities, reality TV stars and musicians will be part of the event...but there will definitely be some 'and such.'

  7. The amazing thing is you've had the time to compile the numbers - well done!

I kept a diary of feeding sessions for about the first six weeks, which side my wife was feeding on, for how long etc.

Must digitize them at some point, or at least count them up!

  8. I love it!
FYI, I'm nearly 10 months in with our Milo and I check him at least three times for proper breathing between the time I put him to bed at night and the time I go to sleep. Better safe than sorry, right?!

Another guest post

I did a little guest post a bit ago for mom-nom.com, the post is below the original pre-amble.

If you head to Mom-nom.com you can see a little guest post I wrote. It's about being a daddy blogger in the midst of a bunch of mommy bloggers.

The post is kicking off Tiffany's new site. It used to be called Feels Like Home but then some other blogger felt that she owned the name because she was thinking about to registering the name...even though really the name comes from a song. And I think it's pretty ridiculous that the other woman threatened a law suit because of this.

And that BS and some other twitter high school antics lead me to one of my greatest literary feats...a little rant on twitter.

The image is below, if you click on it you can read the whole thing...it goes from the bottom up. A little warning if you read it...there may be an f-bomb or 20...and now it's in the Library of Congress...awesome.

Here's the post from Mom-nom.comWhen Tiffany asked me to do a…

My hundredth post: seriously a clips post?

In my last post I mentioned I was working on getting some celebs for this post. I was in talks with the quarterback of the Saints whatever his name is...I'm sure I could look it up. I was also trying to get Conan...those talks were going really well but then NBC squashed it. There were more but the moral is it's just me.

So I thought I'd do a clips post to show my journey from dude who was scared of kids to dad. If you're new to my blog this will be a CliffsNotes version of what you missed. If you've been checking it out for awhile think of this as a best of. And since a blog can't work like a TV show if you want to get the full clip show experience you'll have to click through to the posts...but this will give you the gist.

In the beginning...Staci and I wanted to have a child but we both had totally different experience with kids. Kids have always been magically attracted to her...which is probably why she is so great at her career as a Montessori teacher…

Update post

An unexpected side affect of writing this blog is that I was introduced to the world of baby blogs. Totally didn't expect it, but since most of my readers are pregnant women or moms it makes sense.

There is some great stuff out there. One of the blogs I'm digging is the818.com by Morgan. Great, real look at pregnancy with some cool design stuff too.

She does a weekly update on what's going on with her and her pregnancy. All those questions that folks would ask.

But since men aren't the ones doing the hard work no one asks us what's up with us.

I thought it would be fun to answer her update questions from a male point of view. So here goes:

How far along? Officially 22 weeks and 4 days, but since I know a little more about math and the female body than every doctor I know that it's really closer to 20.

Total weight gain/loss: Down 3 pounds...sorry.

Stretch marks? I always had these little ones on my ankles...I think they are from when I grew to a enormous 5'6&q…
